Best Celtic or Irish Movies

This list may not have much to do with everything Irish in Pennsylvania or nearby, but we thought it would be valuable to list all of the Irish or Celtic themed movies that we could find. Each has the link to the Internet Movie Database so you can read more.

The music in Irish movies is usually absolutely beautiful and inspiring. Many people first started liking Irish or Scottish music after hearing it in film. The Celtic races are usually quite passionate about life so they make some very moving pictures, albeit some sad or depressing ones. The Irish and other Celtic peoples are not afraid to show the sad part of life and many times find living day to day is the only way to live.

  • The Irish certainly have a passion for making very moving motion pictures. Some are actually hard to watch becasue of the sadness they contain. With the fantastic Irish music in the background it makes for a neat experience that is hard to forget.
